This rubric is designed to assess student performance in an introductory Grade 9 Psychology course. The rubric emphasizes both content mastery and the development of essential academic skills; ensuring students build a strong foundation for future studies in psychology or related fields. Students will be assessed on their knowledge of key psychological theories; principles; and terminology. This includes recognizing major perspectives in psychology; such as behavioral; cognitive; and biological approaches; as well as understanding basic research methods. Demonstrating comprehension through clear explanations and accurate examples is essential. Application of psychological concepts is another critical component. Students must show they can relate theories to everyday situations; analyze case studies; and draw logical conclusions.
