Grade 4 Measurement Rubric Description This rubric is designed to assess students’ understanding and application of measurement concepts in Grade 4. It evaluates key skills such as estimating; measuring; converting; and solving real-world problems involving length; mass; volume; time; and money. The rubric provides clear criteria for performance at four levels: Emerging; Developing; Proficient; and Extending. At the Emerging level; students demonstrate basic awareness of measurement tools and units but require support to apply them accurately. Developing-level students show partial understanding; making reasonable estimates and performing simple measurements with occasional errors. Proficient students consistently measure and convert units within the same system; solve straightforward problems; and explain their reasoning.
