The Grade 12 IB Dance HL/SL rubric provides a structured framework for assessing students’ artistic and technical development in dance. It evaluates performance; composition; and analysis; fostering a well-rounded understanding of dance as an art form. Students engage in practical and theoretical components; developing physical skills; creativity; and critical thinking. The rubric emphasizes technical proficiency; encouraging students to refine their movement vocabulary and performance quality. Through choreography tasks; students explore creative expression; learning to structure ideas coherently and communicate meaning through movement.
