Grade 11 Archaeology Rubric Description This rubric is designed to assess student performance in Grade 11 Archaeology; providing clear expectations for research; analysis; and communication skills. It evaluates students on four key criteria: knowledge and understanding; critical thinking; research and methodology; and presentation. Each criterion is broken into performance levels; allowing students to understand how their work meets; exceeds; or falls short of expectations. The knowledge and understanding section measures how well students grasp archaeological concepts; theories; and historical contexts. This ensures they build a strong foundation in the subject. The critical thinking component assesses their ability to analyze artifacts; interpret findings; and draw logical conclusions; fostering deeper engagement with the material.
