The Grade 10 Personal Project rubric is designed to assess students’ ability to plan; execute; and reflect on an independent project of their choice. This project encourages students to explore a topic of personal interest while developing essential skills such as research; critical thinking; time management; and self-reflection. The rubric evaluates students across several key criteria to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. The first criterion focuses on goal setting; where students must establish clear; achievable objectives aligned with their interests. This helps them develop planning skills and take ownership of their learning. The second criterion assesses research skills; requiring students to gather and analyze information from credible sources. This strengthens their ability to evaluate evidence and apply knowledge effectively. The third criterion evaluates the application of skills; where students demonstrate their ability to use newly acquired or existing skills to complete their project. The fourth criterion measures the quality of the final product or outcome; ensuring students meet high standards of creativity; accuracy; and relevance.
