Students will demonstrate their ability to analyze significant events; compare diverse cultures; and explain the influence of geography on regional development. By using this rubric; educators can provide clear expectations and consistent feedback; helping students track their progress and identify areas for improvement. The rubric assesses content knowledge through questions and projects that require students to describe major civilizations; such as ancient China; India; and Japan; and their contributions to global history. It also evaluates students’ ability to make connections between historical events and modern-day issues; fostering deeper engagement with the material. Critical thinking is measured through tasks that ask students to compare cultural traditions; evaluate the impact of trade routes; or interpret primary sources.
